菲律賓是一個形狀破碎的海島國家,無法建立起完整的供電系統,因此很多地區的人民在晚上依賴的是傳統照明的方式,但傳統照明的有限與不足帶來了生活上的許多問題。為解決居家生活環境缺乏電力提供而產生的問題,能源的來源需要能被簡易地獲得。而因菲律賓的海水資源豐富,可成為鹽水電池能源的來源。
 

The Philippines is an island country with irregular coastline. Thus, it is not easy to establish power supply system. After the sunset, much area is still cover by darkness. That is to say, most of the people are still lighting their night in a traditional way.
Due to poor infracture, the island country of the Philippines can benifit from sea water as a source of energy. 

" 220ml的鹽水能夠產生5伏特的電力。"

透過將鹽水電池本身就是一個小型的發電單位,產出一系列的產品。這種即時的能源可以用在第三世界國家,缺乏電力供應的地方,也可以在基礎設施被摧毀、緊急救難時使用。因應第三世界國家所面臨的電力缺乏,產出具有機動性的提燈、因應瘧疾的捕蚊燈、以及資訊流通來源的收音機。

"Every 220 ml salt water can generate 5 volt power. "

Base on this data, I design a series of products which are generated by the power from saline water. By this way, it will benefit the third world where is highly in demand on electricity.Besides, it is also reliable if emergency; that is, the destruction of basis facilities, etc. All in all, with a motivation to help the third world, I designed products inclusive of a lantern light full of flexibility, a bug zapper and a radio that could easily get information.
